Today was Rebecca's Neurology Appt. She is going to have a CT scan done to check to make sure there are no calcifications to indicate a prior infection (like in utero). She isn't really using her hands to grab things and isn't rolling over yet. She is smiling and blabbing to us though. They want to make sure the clot she had hasn't effected anything. We have an assessment with Early Steps tomorrow. Which is a physical / occupational therapy group that works with children 0-3 years. I switched pediatricians and the new Doctor I really like. She spent 40 min with me going over her history and what we could work on with her feeding problems. At Rebecca's Urology appt., last Thursday 12/11, she was diagnosed with Level 2 reflux of the kidney's. He said it should resolve on its own. The doctor put her on 1.5ml of Septra an antibiotic to prevent an infection. In 6 months she will have another ultrasound to look at the kidneys. At the Hemo/ Oncologist appt., she was diagnosis with Prothrombin Gene Mutation 20210. It is hereditary,Will and I have not been tested yet. She will be on Lovenox til the end of January, when she will have another MRI done to make sure her brain is still clear. If it is, than she will be taken off the Lovenox.
Richard's vocabulary is expanding everyday. He loves his baby sister! I am looking into the HIPPY program for when he turns 3. Is a free program offered in Pinellas, that offers Parents that stay home with their preschoolers, curriculum to encourage learning. I am looking forward to it. Richard is also potty learning, YAY! Still in a diaper at night but its very nice to be diaper free during the day. He loves his friends in the mommy group we belong to. Richard is also very excited that Santa is coming soon. He is ready to give his toys to other kids, so he can get different toys.
Mom is doing well. She is almost always tired but thats getting to be normal. We will be baking cookies this weekend and she loves doing that.
